I feel exhausted. I guess the first step to analyzing yourself is by realizing your problem area and then bring in changes accordingly. Yesterday I and my wife were having a discussion regarding life, yes we have been together the past 10 years and we still converse. My wife is an extremely wise woman and I know without her I would have being lost. My problem area is relationships. I cannot seem to have or keep any. I live two houses away from my parents but I meet them only five hours a month. My brother lives approximately 15 minutes away from my house but I meet him maybe once a month. I have few friends or acquaintances. Many would think I lead an extremely lonely life but I do not, I am happy being with myself. It is as if solitude is my best friend. Then I thought to myself maybe I am an extremely cold person (had to get bazi in cannot help it folks! It’s just in my blood, I guess.). Yes my chart is extremely cold, so I don’t have fights or arguments I just have "frozen" relationships. With my wife I put in an effort to know her likes and dislikes. Imagine after 10 years of our marriage, I find out she likes to use hard bristles toothbrush. Do you know what kind of toothbrush your spouse likes to use? I am learning to work on my relationships. It is easiest with my children, probably because they still don’t think of me as "Mr.Grumps".

I have always wondered if ancient masters knew so many formulas about wealth and fame why were they themselves not so rich or famous (I mean "superstardom" although I do see a recent case of a master making it big, again it depends on the path he takes). Probably the reason why not all the masters were rich or famous because they knew their problem areas and worked on them. I need to work on mine. The only problem seems to be time I am always surrounded by calls, emails and clients wanting some information on their next project. But between all this I need to work on my problem areas and I am giving it my best shot.

By the way, all you bazi fans out there have you ever seen the cycle repeat itself. Ok, here is something for you to try and see if it works it has worked in 70% of my cases. The cycle is 12 years for the earthly branch and 10 years for heavenly stem. Heavenly stem represents unexpected events (fortunate or unfortunate depends on the year that is repeating itself and the useful element in the chart. Being in a void state also matters but void has a different way of working all together). Coming back to the cycle of 12 years earthly branches these relate to events that are expected and you can see it happening – you can prepare for such events and take precautionary methods if you want to avoid them. However what you cannot forsee is the heavenly stem activities. It will be related to the element but you donot know what will happen. For e.g. a woman born in a ren shen day her void years would be xu and hai. This year is xu so what can you expect from this woman. She will be low on her performance, she maybe feeling unwell, a lawsuit perhaps. She won’t be extremely happy this year. What will the problems be related to – wealth, power and stress. This year being the year of bing xu it would be mostly related to wealth. What about 1994 year of Jia Xu – she had a daughter with congenital heart problems and lost her in 1995. There are so many other cases where I see the cycle repeating itself.

Many people have told me that I have the gift I donot know if I have the gift but I like helping people whether it be in their business or in their personal lifes. For that I charge them a fee.

9th September Saturday - a new client of mine asked me why I charged so low compared to the rest of the consultants who haven’t studied under half the masters I have studied under and are junior to me by many years (not by age but by experience). I told her the truth, I told her I am a student of feng shui who is still learning, I gain knowledge through my practice, "it’s a two way process you benefit from my knowledge and I gain more understanding by doing the case. It seems unfair to charge you thousands of dollars when I am learning the subject. The day I know I am the master of this subject maybe then I will charge you thousands of dollars." She understood what I meant.

How has the month being – I realized a few things, I fell in love with my wife, am honest with my clients, earned quite a bit, tried disciplining my employees, got four new feng shui cases (feng shui and bazi both) and two renewals, personally looked at approximate 45 bazis and if you count the ones over the net than probably it will be around 100, did 55 yi jings, managed to spend three hours with my brother, gave time to my wife, gave time to my children, cooked four days (my wife loves my cooking), had two lunch and two dinners with my parents, exercised one hour daily for 20 days, replied to more than 100 emails, read around 200 emails, wrote two articles. I approximately spend three hours with my clients and non-clients over phone on a daily basis, managed to scrub the refrigerator and it looks brand new. Phew!! And I still have miles to go before I sleep.

This fortnight has been busy. I have been trying to run pillar to post to keep appointments on time and I have been making some amazing discoveries about life. I will be sharing them with you shortly.

I discovered that I am a workaholic who doesnot know how to have fun. I also discovered that I do what I “think” needs to be done but I never do what I “feel” like doing. To be branded the tiger – a solitary animal by your wife is not exactly good is it? Now that I have been branded and realized my problem I intended to change it. As I was thinking about how to do it I got a call from my brother who wanted to go out for a “guy’s night out”. Usually I would decline, my brother is a gregarious social animal, I am…well I am the solitary tiger. This time I said yes, let’s see if I can unwind and learn to have fun.

Regarding doing what I think and not doing what I feel, I had a bazi analysis with an old client yesterday (13th August 2006), generally I would be diplomatic in my words and be very careful not to upset my clients. Yesterday I spoke what I felt, I did not measure my words and at the end of the session my client (who also cried during the analysis) told me he was feeling much lighter and better. He even forced me to take money even though he did not have to pay me, he said he wanted to and he has never had such a heart to heart discussion ever. After he left I was elated and told my wife about his comments, she smiled and said “if he can take the truth and make his changes accordingly, then I guess you have accomplished your task as an analyst or rather as his life guide”. I was all smiles.
